    Shopmobility is a scheme which provides battery powered scooters and manual wheelchairs to help people who have limited mobility to get to all that St Albans City centre has to offer. Based in Drovers Way car park next to the parking shop. Borrow a Scooter during opening hours or a wheelchair for a period of 4 weeks.

    Welwyn Hatfield Shopmobility provide free use of powered scooters and manual wheelchairs, helping people with walking difficulties to shop in the town centre. There are two Shopmobility centres in the borough: The Galleria, Hatfield Howard Centre, WGC We provide powered scooters to drive yourself around the shops or manual wheelchairs for someone to push you around in. If you have severe mobility difficulties, by prior arrangement, we will meet you at your car with a scooter or wheelchair. Wheelchairs can also be borrowed for up to twelve weeks, for example, if you are going on holiday or recovering from an accident. This service is available from the Jim McDonald Centre, Hilltop, Hatfield. It is advisable to ring in advance 01707 270066. A hire fee of £5 per week is chargeable. Become a member On your first visit you will need to provide two forms of identification, proving your name and address. Membership will allow you to use the scheme as often as you wish, free of charge.     Stevenage Shopmobility is here to provide manual wheelchairs and electric scooters to anyone who has walking difficulties, regardless of age, to enable them to use all the facilities within Stevenage New Town Centre, including shops, library, day clinics etc. Opening hours: Monday- 9.30am to 3.00pm Tuesday – Closed all day Wednesday – 9.30am to 3.00pm Thursday- 9.30am to 3.00pm Friday – 9.30am to 3.00pm Saturday – 9.30am to 3.00pm The shop will be closed from 12.30pm to 1.00pm each day for lunch. We also have one holiday scooter for hire – they fold down for travel by car.

    Shopmobility Watford is a local charity which loans manual and battery powered wheelchairs and scooters to anyone with a mobility problem, whether permanent or temporary, through accident, illness or age. It gives users greater independence to do their own shopping, visit libraries, banks etc. or for leisure. This service is FREE for daily use in Watford Town centre (from Tesco Extra to Watford Town Hall). This includes into Watford shopping centre.

    Shopmobility We have teamed up with East Herts Council to offer shoppers with mobility impairment FREE scooter or wheelchair hire for shopping in Bishop’s Stortford town. Registration is simple, just bring two forms of I.D, one must be photo I.D (i.e. Driving Licence, Bus Pass, Passport etc), the second must be an up to date letter which has your current address (i.e. bank statement, council tax or utility bill).
